Welcome to our family blog....

Here's all the news on what's going on in the Ramsey home. I've created our family page to keep up with everything that is happening with us, Vann, Julie, Jonathan and Savannah...and what we are up to, along with the rest of our family and friends. I especially wanted to make this for Jonathan and Savannah...as they are growing up more and changing everyday! Enjoy!

Our Christmas Holiday, 2008

This Christmas was alot of fun for us, with Savannah and Jonathan getting older and enjoying it more each year, it definitely adds to the holiday season.
Mom was off work and on vacation for 16 days with Jonathan and Savannah..so that made it even better.
We went to Julie's mom's house on Christmas eve to celebrate and be with family. Jay and Jayden, Jared and Kimber, and Kaycee with JJ, mom and Jim were all there. It was a house full and boy the wrapping paper was flying!
here are some pics from the night...

Christmas day we spent at home, enjoying the beautiful day and playing with all of our new toys, including our new TV (Vann's early present to himself) and Wii game.
Ashley, Brian and the girls came to visit..it was very nice just to be home as a family for the entire day, celebrating the holiday.
Here are Christmas morning pictures...

Santa brought new bikes for Jonathan and Savannah!

Alexis loves her new toy we got her!

Leaving Mrs. Angie

Well, the time has come for Savannah..and mommy..to move on and into preschool..and leave Angie's home daycare..we are very sad to leave, but also know it is the right thing to do. Our last day is December 19th, 2008.
Savannah is almost 3 now and potty trained...it's time to be around children her own age and learn new things. Here's a few pics taken at Angie's...during our last few days there. We love you and will miss you Angie, Bill and Jake. Thank you for everything over the last 2+ years!! I don't know what we would have done without you!!
I'm sure preschool will be an adjustment and we'll be sure to keep you posted!

Advent Family Festival at Trinity

We recently started attending Trinity Church and thought it would be fun to attend a dinner and children's craft event. We had alot of fun, Jonathan and Savannah loved it and did not want to leave. We met up with some old friends and made some new ones..and Leo and Hannah joined us as well.

Making time for Sunday School

I have been wanting to get more involved with church and we thought we'd try going to Trinity Church today. I took Jonathan and Savannah to visit the church last week and we walked around and talked about going. Jonathan couldn't stop asking if it were Sunday yet...so off to Sunday school we went today. Of course it started to rain about the time we were leaving and then began to pour when we arrived, but I was determined not to let that stop us. Jonathan was quick to go off with the other children, while I went with Savannah to her room and stayed for the hour playing with the other 2 year olds. We all had a good time and can't wait to go back again.

Happy Thanksgiving -2008

We enjoyed staying home for thanksgiving and cooking and eating! It was a beautiful day outside so we all got out to enjoy it. Savannah and Jonathan couldn't seem to get enough turkey. Grandpa was here from Maryland and Great Grandma came over too.
Here are a few pics..

And then there were two...

Ashley and Brian welcomed Kylie Paige Rhoden to the family on November 15, 2008.
Big sister Alexis at 13 months old, couldn't seem to get enough of her, according to Ashley.
Here are a few pics from our visit to the hospital.
She was so tiny and cute..and Jonathan and Savannah didn't want to share her.

Back to Sea World!

We wanted to use our passes again before the year ended..so off we went to Sea World again today! We loved it just as much, if not more than the first time we all went, earlier this year. One day just doesn't seem like enough to see it all though..and we didn't get to see the polar bears this time as they were setting up for Polar Express exhibit. The weather was beautiful and we had a great time!

This picture was taken after Shamu soaked us!

JLS Photography...Take 2

Since we didn't get quite as many pictures as we wanted the first time around..because Savannah was not too interested, we thought we'd try again for a few more. Savannah seemed to warm up a little more but I wanted some with just Jonathan as well. They LOVED the lollipops! Now there are too many pictures to choose from and I'm having a hard time deciding which ones I love the most. Thanks again Jaime! Here's a few from our most recent session on 10/30/08.

Trick or Treat!

Halloween was alot fun this year, Savannah wasn't too sure about it at first but seemed to catch on pretty quick. She didn't like it when a witch came to the door at one house but still managed to get a bucket full of candy! We pulled them both around in the wagon which was nice and they could take candy breaks when they needed. Jonathan was still a little under the weather so we didn't stay out too late. They still got more candy than they knew what to do with and dumped it all out over and over when we got home.

Our home photo shoot by JLS Photography

We made our first attempt with a professional photographer on 10/16/08.
Jaime, JLS photography was sweet enough to come over and take some pictures of us all. Here are a few from the ones taken. Thank you Jaime! We love them :-)
Here's her site if you are interested in checking out more and getting pictures done, it is also listed on the side of my blog as well.
